Missive is a 365 project of collages; a collage a day, every day for 2022. The collages draw on classical art history, the Hollywood golden age and the studio nude. Themes of the muse, the goddess, the model and the object of the gaze interweave throughout this year-long endurance project mapping the margins of the nude. Pushing at the form, the gesture, the structures around and constructing it. Much of my collage is interested in liminal spaces, edges, negative spaces, openings and the like. The gaps leave you space to think or fill as you may.
