These analogue collages were made from vintage book plates, postcards and fan annuals in 2021, and feature doubled and repeated elements sliced into stripes.

I enjoy this method of mixing images so that you read several images simultaneously. This series draws on imagery from antiquity. Ancient goddesses and monstrous females, the sculpted body, vintage Vogue and monochromatic Hollywood glamour. Throughout these collages ambiguity, duality and female depiction are explored.

In ‘The Huntress’ goddess Diana is spliced with Katharine Hepburn and Greta Garbo. Her greek forebear Artemis was the patron protector of young girls.

All original artwork is despatched from the studio wrapped in eco-friendly packaging via Royal Mail unless otherwise specified.
