A beautiful technicolour print of my original vintage paper collage. This series of collages celebrates the vibrant colour of vintage print sourced from Hollywood fan annuals and early full colour publications of flowers and plants.
Laraine is named after the actress Laraine Day, a Metro-Goldwyn Meyer star. I was particularly drawn to the technicolour tinting of the original print and the beautiful profile. The colours of the dahlia prints I chose to cut and weave across her profile are deliberately vibrant and clashing.
Available as a beautiful giclée print on a smooth textured off-white Hahnemühle paper, including a border ready for framing. This velvety matt paper was chosen to compliment the texture of the original vintage collage papers used to make this piece.
